Privacy Policy

Who we are

RightScore ("we", "us") is a football prediction league covering the Premier League, Championship, League One, and League Two. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights.

What we collect

• Account details: email address, username, password (hashed), and the team you support.
• Profile data: optional avatar image, notification preferences, and any extra profiles you add for family members.
• Predictions you submit: scores, first goalscorer picks, optional commentary, and timestamps.
• Session cookies: an authentication cookie issued by our data processor (Supabase) so you stay logged in.
• Device data: if you enable push notifications, we store a device token so we can send alerts.
• Basic analytics: anonymised page-view counts for debugging and capacity planning.

Why we use it

• To run the prediction league — scoring your picks, ranking users, surfacing leaderboards.
• To send deadline reminders and results if you have notifications switched on.
• To keep your account secure.
• To debug issues and improve the service.

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for third-party advertising profiling.

Who processes your data

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage (our data processor).
• Sportmonks — read-only source for fixtures, scores, and player stats. We do not send your data to them.
• YouTube — highlight videos are embedded via YouTube. Watching them may set YouTube cookies.
• Hosting infrastructure — the app is served via a cloud provider that processes request data to deliver pages to you.

Extra profiles (family accounts)

You may add up to 3 extra profiles on your account so family members can join in. Extra profiles cannot sign in on their own — all predictions are made by you, from your account. We treat data attached to an extra profile the same way as your own data. If you suspect an extra profile belongs to a child under 13, please delete it immediately; we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without parental consent.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your profile, predictions, and uploaded content within 30 days, except where we're required to retain records for legal reasons (e.g. fraud prevention, tax).

Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time. Most of this is self-serve inside the app:

• Access / correct — go to Settings and edit your details.
• Delete — go to Settings → "Delete account". Your data is removed within 30 days.
• Export — email us at the address below and we'll send you a copy.
• Complain — UK users can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
